Dislocated elbow to sideline Demps for over a month

Jeff Demps, the Florida running back who suffered a rather grotesque dislocation of his elbow during the Sugar Bowl win over Cincinnati, will likely be out of action for up to six weeks, the Orlando Sentinel is reporting.

Barring a setback, though, the injury should not prevent Demps from participating in spring practice.

It could keep him from running with the Gators track team, however. Demps ran track for UF last year but, as noted by the Sentinel, he was hampered by hamstring issues.

Demps told the paper that he hopes to return sooner than the original prognosis.
