Peter King of SI.com, who also spends some time with the guy who is technically in-charge of this outfit, reports that Jack Del Rio told USC thanks, but no thanks for the offer to coach his alma mater USC Trojans.
As we’ve mentioned more than a few times in the past 48 hours, Del Rio had about 15 million reasons to say no to the Trojans, which likely was the largest determining factor for him turning down the offer.
With Mike Riley and Jack Del Rio off the table, expect the Trojans to try and poach a collegiate coach with a good track record instead of going after Herm Edwards, who is doing everything in his power to get the job.
