As it stands right now, Randy Shannon will enter the 2010 season in the final year of his contract.
According to Miami of Florida athletic director Kirby Hocutt, that could change in the next month or two.
Speaking to the Miami Herald, Hocutt said that the two sides have been talking about a contract extension, and that one “will get done in the coming weeks.”
It’s believed the discussions have centered around a three- or four-year deal, with Shannon seeking a salary more in line with other coaches around the ACC.
