As it turns out, Louisiana Tech will be holding a press conference today. And it will be to announce their next head football coach.
The school has informed CFT that a 6 p.m. ET press conference has been scheduled, although they would not reveal who will be the next coach.
All of the signs, however, point to Arizona offensive coordinator Sonny Dykes being tapped by the school to replace Derek Dooley, who left for the Tennessee job last week.
UPDATE 3:53 p.m. ET: The Shreveport Times reports that Dykes appears to be Tech’s choice as their next football coach.
UPDATE 4:16 p.m. ET: ESPN.com is now reporting as well that Dykes will be the hire announced at the press conference.
