Ole Miss names Rader new coordinator

It’s been rumored for days that former Tulsa head coach Dave Rader was the lead dog in Ole Miss’ hunt for a new offensive coordinator.

This afternoon, the rumors became official.

According to the Jackson Clarion-Ledger, Ole Miss announced this afternoon that Rader will become the Rebels’ new co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Offensive line coach Mike Markuson was also officially named as the other co-coordinator.

Rader has been out of coaching the past three years after serving as Alabama’ coordinator on Mike Shula‘s coaching staff.

Rader will replace Kent Austin, who was named as Cornell’s new head coach last week.
