New DC not long for College Station?

Rumored to be interested in both the Tennessee and Virginia openings this offseason, Troy Calhoun ultimately stayed at Air Force for at least another season.

However, it seems like a matter of when, not if, Calhoun leaves Colorado Springs for a more higher-profile job at a BcS school. And, when he does, one coach has already made it known that he wants the job.

Tim DeRuyter, who left his Falcons defensive coordinator post for the same job with Texas A&M earlier this year, left no gray area as to what he would like for his future to hold when speaking to the Colorado Springs Gazette.

“The big reason I came here is I’d like to be a head coach at some point, and I know Troy Calhoun is doing great things but there may come a time when he gets the job offer that he can’t refuse,” DeRuyter told the paper.

“And if he were to go, I’d love to come back.”

In other words, enjoy him while you can, Aggies.
