Herd starting corners suspended following arrests

Following their arrests early Sunday morning for an incident outside of a Huntington night club, defensive backs DeQuan Bembry and T.J. Drakeford have been suspended indefinitely, the Charleston Daily Mail is reporting.

It was reported yesterday that corners were facing a pair of misdemeanor charges apiece; however, one of Bembry’s charges -- malicious assault on an officer -- is actually a felony.

This is the third time in a little over a year that Bembry has been arrested, and the second felony he’s faced. Coincidentally, Georgia linebacker Montez Robinson was arrested for the third time in just under six months this past weekend; Robinson is no longer a member of the football program after getting the boot from head coach Mark Richt Sunday.

Bembry, who along with Drakeford is expected to start at cornerback for the Herd, is still a member of Marshall football program.
