UT’s Myles was ‘drunk, disorderly and riding on hood of vehicle’

Now THAT, my friends, is how you spend a Saturday night/Sunday morning. It doesn’t get any better than getting a serious drink on and going car surfing.

Of course, it’s also how you find yourself on the wrong side of the law as well.

As we posted earlier this morning, Tennessee safety Darren Myles Jr. was arrested early Sunday morning outside of a Knoxville club. The charges weren’t available at the time, but now they are.

And Myles has pounded a triple down the first-base line.

According to the Knoxville News Sentinel, Myles was charged with public intoxication, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. The charges stemmed from a disturbance outside of the club.

“Officers observed Myles being drunk and disorderly and riding on the hood of a vehicle in the parking lot,” police spokesman Darrell DeBusk told the News Sentinel.

“Myles resisted arrest and started fighting with the officers as they were attempting to take him into custody.”

Myles had just finished up what was a very strong spring with a solid performance in the spring game, and is expected to be a major contributor in the Volunteers’ secondary this season.
