Addazio puts kibosh on moving UF-FSU game

Earlier this week, Jimbo Fisher floated the idea of moving Florida State’s traditional regular season-ending game against Florida to the very beginning of the season. And moving the game from the state of Florida and “do it up” in neighboring Georgia “two years in a row.”

Today, de facto UF head coach Steve Addazio shot down Fisher’s trial balloon.

Speaking to the St. Petersburg Times, Addazio gave no indication that The Fisher Plan would even be a consideration, let alone having a chance at becoming a reality.

We like it just the way it is right now,” he said. “It’s (an) in the state of Florida game between two Florida teams. . . . “We’re real happy right where it is right now.”

Real UF head coach Urban Meyer was not available for comment as he’s busy sabbaticaling until the start of summer camp. Unless he changes his mind. Again.
