Another receiver vacating Happy Valley

For the second time in two weeks, a wide receiver has decided to leave Penn State and ply his football wares elsewhere.

First there was Levi Norwood, a member of the 2010 recruiting class who decided earlier this month to transfer from the Nittany Lions and, ultimately, reunited with his father at Baylor, where Brian Norwood will be entering his third season as the Bears’ defensive coordinator.

Now comes word that A.J. Price has asked for, and been granted, a release from his scholarship. According to FightOnState.com by way of the Patriot-News, Price cited academic reasons for leaving the program.

As the redshirt sophomore is a native of Reston, Va., the paper speculates that Virginia could be a potential destination.

Price appeared in six games last season, recording as many catches as the cardinal currently raping and pillaging the bird feeder located off to the side of my sun porch did.
