Seantrel Henderson getting cold feet over USC?

In the wake of the historic sanctions levied against the USC football program, there were some rumblings that Seantrel Henderson might not be “a hundred thousand, trillion percent” a Trojan any longer.

The speculation made sense, after all, as arguably the top recruit in the country verbally committed to USC back in February, but refused to sign his Letter of Intent until he got a better handle on just what the sanctions against USC might be. That speculation grew last week when Henderson did not attend a scheduled orientation at the school, and prompted members of the football program to take action.

According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, head coach Lane Kiffin, recruiting coordinator Ed Orgeron, offensive line coach James Cregg and top assistant Monte Kiffin all boarded a private jet and paid a visit to the Twin Cities to get a read on where the huge offensive tackle’s head is at right now.

There’s no word on how that visit played out or if Henderson reaffirmed his commitment to the Trojans.

In what could be an ominous sign for Henderson’s future at Southern Cal, though, Henderson’s father, Sean, refused to comment to the Pioneer Press on his son’s status and Henderson himself did not return several calls from the paper.
