FSU rolling in first Bowden-less game in 35 years

Christian Ponder has a Heisman campaign in his favor through Florida State. If winningthe award is in his future, he certainly helped that cause with his first-half performance today.

Seminoles head coach Jimbo Fisher led FSU to a 42-3 lead heading into half-timeagainst his alma mater, Samford.

Ponder threw an interception on the Seminoles’ first offensive drive with FSU inside theBulldogs’ red zone. After that, he completed 11 of 11 passes for 123 yards and four touchdowns.

Weber State managed to light up the scoreboard right before the half with a 41-yard field goal byCameron Yaw.

It seems highly unlikely that the Bulldogs could overcome a 39-point defecit, especiallywith just 88 total offensive yards through two quarters (FSU has four drives of 40+ yards, already). Now it’s just a matter of playing for respect.
