Ho-hum. Another day, another Penn State player has found himself on the wrong side of the law.
Just a couple of days after running back Silas Redd publicly urinated himself into a disorderly conduct citation, we now have word that one of the freshman’s teammates has been hit with the same citation.
According to the Allentown Morning Call, defensive end Sean Stanley was cited Friday for disorderly conduct by State College police. No information was available on what led to Stanley being cited.
This is the second time in less than two months the sophomore’s had a scrape with the law; in late September, Stanley was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
He was held out of a couple of games in October in part because of the first incident. When asked if Stanley will play this weekend against Indiana, head coach Joe Paterno said “we’ll find out.”
UPDATED 10:11 a.m. ET: As it turns out, Stanley’s disorderly conduct citation was for... wait for it... wait for it... public urination. I’m beginning to think that some State College port o’ potty company could make an on-campus killing.
