UCLA starting offensive lineman gets a sixth year

Based on the way the last few months (years?) have gone for UCLA, the Bruins football program could certainly use a little good news.

Wednesday, UCLA received a little sliver of it as the school announced this afternoon that starting offensive tackle Sean Sheller has received a sixth year of eligibility from the NCAA.

Sheller started 11 games for the Bruins in 2010, but missed all of the 2006 and 2008 seasons due to injuries. The only game he missed this past season was for a suspension after he failed a drug test.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Sheller will likely slide over to left guard for the upcoming season.
