Forcier whittles transfer list to Hurricanes, four others

Back in late January, Tate Forcier had a list of a dozen or more schools to which he was considering transferring.

Roughly 10 days later, that list has been cut by more than half.

According to Joe Schad of ESPN.com, the former Michigan quarterback has pared his of potential destinations down to five -- Miami (Fla.), Kansas State, Arizona, Washington and Montana. Visits to the school will commence Monday, and the first stop will be either Miami or Kansas State, Schad reports.

Forcier is hoping to visit all five schools during the coming week, although it’s unclear when a decision will be made.

Rumors had abounded that Forcier was considering a transfer after he lost his starting job to Denard Robinson. That speculation came to fruition -- via Twitter -- shortly after Brady Hoke replaced Rich Rodriguez as the Wolverines’ head coach.
