Unlike last year’s top-rated player, there won’t be any “will he, won’t he” drama when it comes to Jadeveon Clowney.
South Carolina announced via a press release Monday afternoon that they have received Clowney’s signed Letter of Intent, making the defensive end the 32nd and final member of the Gamecocks’ 2011 recruiting class.
The release made sure to note that four of the student-athletes are already enrolled at South Carolina and do not count against the 28-player limit.
Clowney had announced earlier today that he had chosen the Gamecocks over, among others, Clemson and Alabama.
The school also announced a 4 p.m. ET press conference featuring head coach Steve Spurrier and select assistant coaches to “answer questions regarding updated 2011 Recruiting Class”.
