A report out of Miami Sunday stated that Georgia Tech athletic director Dan Radakovich is very high on a list of about a dozen candidates to replace Kirby Hocutt as the Hurricanes’ AD.
If that is indeed the case, somebody might want to inform Radakovich.
Speaking to Cole Harvey of the Macon Telegraph during the Yellow Jackets’ basketball game with, of course, Miami, Radakovich declined comment on the report but did say, the paper writes, that he was unfamiliar with any discussions between himself and Miami. He added that it was the first time he’d heard of the report.
While it wasn’t exactly a resounding denial, it should put a little water -- little -- on the fire of speculation that’s slowly burning.
Radakovich has ties to Miami, albeit more than 25 years ago, so that could be playing a role in the rumors connecting his name to the job.
