Two months ahead of the start of summer camp and his continuing the battle to replace Von Miller as one of the Aggies’ starting outside linebackers, Damontre Moore was arrested Friday and charged with possession of less than two ounces of marijuana (pfffttt, piker). This situation appears to be the dictionary definition of wake-and-bake (allegedly) as Moore was arrested just shortly after 7 a.m. local time.
While head coach Mike Sherman was unavailable for comment, a school spokesperson told the San Antonio Express-News that "[h]istorically, Coach Sherman has handled the discipline of his players, and there are consequences for poor choices.”
Moore played in all 13 games last season and finished second on the team in sacks (5.5) to Miller, who was taken No. 2 overall in the April NFL draft by the Denver Broncos.
