Two more Hogs leaving Fayetteville

If you’re a fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks, today just isn’t your day.

Earlier today, we noted that the son of head coach Bobby Petrino was busted on alcohol and drug charges -- with this incident coming just days after Petrino had to dismiss lineman Anthony Oden following his second alcohol-related off-the-field incident.

Now, it appears the Hogs’ depth chart is going to take another hit, this time at defensive line and tight end.

According to Petrino via team spokesperson, Jatashun “Big Tex” Beachum and tight end Denton Simek are no longer with the team for unspecified reasons.

Both players redshirted in 2010 and were adjusting to position changes this spring. Beachum moved from running back to defensive line; Simek from center to tight end.

In a related note which we highlighted earlier as well, Petrino mentioned in an interview today that Colton Miles-Nash had moved from defensive end back to tight end.

Beachum and Simek’s departure means 10 players have left Arkansas’ program since the spring.
