Former Tide signee moves South

As in the University of South Alabama.

After a windy, bumpy road to Tuscaloosa, Alabama offensive lineman Darius McKeller has decided to move on down to the Jaguars to finish his college career. McKeller, an all-state player from Georgia, signed with the Tide in 2009, but deferred enrollment and later suffered a wrist injury that placed him on medical scholarship last season.

McKeller becomes the second Tide player to recently transfer to USA, the other being defensive back B.J. Scott, who announced he was leaving Alabama back in January. Unlike Scott, however, McKeller will have to sit out a year per NCAA transfer rules because South Alabama is now a FBS program in regard to transfers.
