Former four-star WR one of two transferring from Michigan

Less than two weeks before the start of the 2011 season, Michigan’s roster has become a little lighter than expected.

According to TheWolverine.com, wide receiver Je’Ron Stokes has decided to take his leave of the football program. School officials confirmed to the website Stokes’ decision to transfer.

Stokes has totaled three receptions in the past two seasons. As a four-star member of Michigan’s 2009 recruiting class, Stokes was the N0. 14 receiver in the country and the No. 4 player in the state Pennsylvania according to Rivals.com.

Additionally, the Detroit News reported Monday night that offensive lineman Tony Posada has decided to leave the program as well. The Tampa, Fla., product had just signed with the Wolverines this past February.

No reasons were given for Stokes’ and Posada’s departures, nor were any potential destinations for either player given.
