Tanner Price expects to be under center for Wake’s ACC opener.

It appears Wake Forest may have dodged a very big injury bullet.

Starting quarterback Tanner Price was injured during the Demon Deacons season opener and it was uncertain at the time not only the extent of the injury, but what if any time he’d miss.

Fortunately for Wake, it appears the talented sophomore will be ready for the ACC opener against North Carolina State as Price he is close to 100 percent and expects to start. Price suffered what now appears to be a minor sprain of his left knee.

In just over three quarters of play in the loss to Syracuse, Price, who started nine games as a true freshman last year, threw for 289 yards and three touchdowns. Wake was leading the Orange 26-14 when Price went down with his injury, ultimately losing 36-29 overtime in overtime.
