Suspended LSU trio return to practice

It was reported Monday by at least one media outlet that the three LSU players “held out” of Saturday’s win over Auburn would be reinstated Tuesday.

While there was no official announcement of a reinstatement -- much like there was no official announcement of a suspension -- the trio is apparently back in the good graces of the football program.

Head coach Les Miles confirmed today that cornerbacks Tyrann Mathieu and Tharold Simon, as well as leading rusher Spencer Ware, returned to practice with their teammates. It had previously been reported that all three players are expected to play in the No. 1 vs. No. 2 showdown with Alabama Nov. 5.

Miles reiterated that the trio are should be available for the game in Tuscaloosa. And has nooo idea what all of this suspension talk is about anyway.

“I don’t recall that I ever suspended them to you guys, am I right?” Miles asked. “So I guess what I’m saying to you is we’ve operated as this discipline would be internal, we would handle it in that way and these guys have returned to practice.

“If they continue doing the things they’re doing we anticipate they will play.”

Miles going Sgt. Schultz on the situation notwithstanding, the Synthetic Three were reportedly suspended for the last game after failing a drug test.
