That non-serious knee injury to Texas receiver Jaxon Shipley has turned out to be a lot more serious than many of us probably anticipated. After missing last week’s win over Texas Tech, it appears Shipley will be absent again this Saturday against Missouri.
Chip Brown of Orangebloods.com tweets today that Shipley is a no-go for tomorrow because of that nagging knee injury. Earlier this week, coach Mack Brown said Shipley “was much better... I talked to Jaxon last night, and he said, ‘I’m feeling so much better.’ So hopefully he will [play].”
Shipley has 33 catches for 438 yards and three touchdowns on the season.
