Ending a week’s worth of speculation -- and an extended absence as well -- Tyler Bray will be back under center for Tennessee Saturday night.
The Volunteers announced roughly a half hour before the kickoff of their game against Vanderbilt that Bray will get the start at quarterback. The crowd was apparently a little excited upon hearing the news.
It will be Bray’s first action since breaking the thumb on his throwing hand Oct. 8 against Georgia.
During the five games Bray missed, the Vols were 1-4. A defeat of the Commodores tonight would get UT to within a win of bowl eligibility with one game remaining.
