Purdue WR suspended, bowl status uncertain

Purdue will already play the Little Caesar’s Pizza Bowl on Dec. 27 (for a complete list of bowl predictions, click here) without leading rusher Ralph Bolden, who has a torn ACL. Now, they could very well be without their third-best receiver for the game.

In an official statement sent Tuesday, coach Danny Hope said receiver O.J. Ross has been suspended for a violation of team rules. The statement did not, however, say that Ross would -- or would not -- play in the bowl.

Ross has 33 catches for 356 yards and three touchdowns on the season.
