Since being fired from Penn State in November in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky scandal, coach Joe Paterno hasn’t spoken publicly about the situation or his dismissal outside an emotional, impromptu speech from the window of his house shortly after it was announced he was no longer the coach of the Nittany Lions.
That will change tomorrow.
The Washington Post announced that reporter Sally Jenkins has an exclusive interview with Paterno that will be published on Saturday. It is not a video interview; rather, audio clips with the story will be released at 4 p.m. ET.
Not five days ago, Jay Paterno addressed his father’s battle with lung cancer, which was discovered shortly after Paterno was fired, and the Sandusky scandal, saying “He’s very anxious to get out there soon and start to tell his side of the story and start to express — get all the facts. What that timetable is I don’t know exactly. But he definitely is chomping at the bit.”
Paterno has since been readmitted to the hospital as he continues to battle with cancer.
