As part of finalizing his coaching staff, Western Kentucky coach Willie Taggart has promoted graduate assistant Nick Sheridan to quarterback coach and passing game coordinator.
Sheridan was the opening-game starter for Michigan in 2008 against Utah in Rich Rodriguez‘s first season with the Wolverines. Sheridan made four starts that season before eventually falling down the depth chart behind Tate Forcier and Denard Robinson. In 2010, Sheridan decided to forgo his final year of eligibility and get started in a coaching career.
Sheridan’s father, Bill, has been a coach of over 30 years. Ironcially, the elder Sheridan recently took a job under Urban Meyer at Ohio State.
Sheridan fills the vacancy left by wide receivers coach/offensive coordinator Zach Azzanni, who joined the coaching staff at Wisconsin.
