USF lineman out of hospital after seizures

Just a few days after being admitted to the hospital because of a pair of seizures, South Florida lineman David Simon has been released and will head home to Alabama to undergo further care from doctors, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Simon had two seizures last week and was admitted to a local hospital Friday. Since then, Simon has had some “mini-seizures”, but nothing more. Simon is said to be in good spirits and will attempt to rejoin his team after the spring semester. In the meantime, the redshirt freshman plans to take classes online and try to keep his condition under control through medication.

Obviously, we hope Simon’s health improves to the point where he is able to rejoin his team, but it’s good to hear he’s out of the hospital and okay.
