Virginia Tech having more LB troubles

Virginia Tech has already lost one linebacker, Tariq Edwards, for the spring because of surgery. Now, the Hokies are dealing with another LB whose legal issues have resulted in his dismissal.

The Washington Post reports via the Montgomery County General District Court online case information system that Hokies LB Telvion Clark (pictured, left) was arrested over the weekend during St. Patrick’s Day (shocking!) for “profane swearing and intoxication in public.”

Clark was released Sunday and a May 3 hearing in court has been set. The misdemeanor charge carries a maximum fine of $250. However, VT’s official athletic site announced later on Tuesday that Clark had been dismissed from the team for “violation of team policies.”

The redshirt sophomore played in four games and had five tackles last season.
