UNLV’s second-leading rusher leaves team

Coming off a 2-10 season, UNLV needed to get on the right track this spring to improve in the third year under head coach Bobby Hauck.

Losing a major component of the Rebels’ running game wasn’t what Hauck had in mind.

Yet, Hauck announced on Tuesday that the team’s second-leading rusher, Dionza Bradford, was leaving the team “for personal reasons”, but wouldn’t specify further, citing student privacy guidelines.

Bradford rushed for 615 yards and three touchdowns last season, only 56 yards behind leading rusher Tim Cornett. Both backs were returning in 2012, giving UNLV an experienced backfield. With Bradford gone, however, third-leading rusher Bradley Randle will move up to the second team.
