Two more Jayhawks get the boot from Charlie Weis

An off-the-field incident over the weekend has added two more Jayhawks to the list of players who have been kicked off the team by new Kansas coach Charlie Weis.

According to KUSports.com, linebacker Collin Garrett and cornerback Chris Robinson were involved in an altercation at a local bar. Garrett allegedly got into a fight with an employee who asked the player to stop smoking inside. Garrett was then reportedly ejected from the bar, where he Robinson got into yet another altercation with bar staff members. After police were called, the two players left the scene, only to be found later.

They were later charged with battery and interference with duties of an officer. Today, Weis said in a statement that the two had dismissed from the team for violating team rules.

Garrett played in six games as a freshman last season while Robinson redshirted.
