Jack Del Rio’s son commits to Ok. State

Though Oklahoma State missed out on the son of a NFL legend this past recruiting year (eventual Stanford commit Barry Sanders), they recently received a verbal commitment from another athlete with pro ties.

Luke Del Rio, the son of former Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio, gave his verbal to the Cowboys on Thursday. The three-star QB (Scout.com; NR by Rivals.com) also held offers from Colorado State and Oregon State. As a junior in Jacksonville, Del Rio threw for 2,580 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Oklahoma State recently announced that true freshman Wes Lunt would start this fall, beating out redshirt freshman J.W. Walsh and junior Clint Chelf.
