Oklahoma State DC out at least a week following medical procedure

Medical and injury-related news almost always involves players at this point in the preseason.

There is, unfortunately, an exception when it comes to Oklahoma State defensive coordinator Bill Young. Via Oklahoma State associate AD Kevin Klintworth, Young will be out at least a week while he recovers from an unspecified medical procedure.

#Okstate DC Bill Young to miss 7-10 days while recovering from medical procedure. Expected back for Louisiana. Glenn Spencer to run the D.

Young, entering his fourth year with the Cowboys, will definitely miss Saturday’s game against Savannah State and could very will be out for the Sept. 8 trip to Arizona. Spencer, the interim play-caller, is OSU’s co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach.

Obviously, our best wishes go to Young and his family.
