Cincinnati LeThrows a game-winning TD pass over VaTech

Georgia Tech may have the ACC’s worst loss of the day to Middle Tennessee, but Virginia Tech definitely had the bigger heartbreaker against Cincinnati.

Known as Munchie LeNoooo (in the Kercheval household) for the first few games of the season, Cincinnati quarterback Munchie LeGaux pulled some late-game heroics and tossed a 39-yard touchdown pass to Bearcats receiver Damon Julian with just 19 seconds left in the game to give Cincinnati a surprising 27-24 win over a now-sliding Virginia Tech team.

The loss was part of a tough out-of-conference Saturday for the ACC, which also saw Virginia lose to Louisiana Tech, though it should be noted that Sonny Dykes’ Bulldogs have quite a football team. No. 4 Florida State was able to avoid a Clemson hangover against USF, however, beating the Bulls 30-17.

Speaking of Clemson, the Tigers were able to pull away from Boston College 45-31.

The most exciting ACC game from Week 5? Another Miami thriller as the Hurricanes needed a 62-yard pass from Stephen Morris to Phillip Dorsett to get past North Carolina State 44-37.
