Back in May, Quentin Hayes was one of four Oklahoma football players suspended indefinitely by the program.
Nearly six months later, one of the four has seen the suspension rescinded. Reportedly.
In a tweet posted to his Twitter account Thursday, the defensive back wrote that he is "[n]onger on suspension, #reinstated #thankgod.” The school has yet to confirm Hayes’ announcement.
Hayes had his scholarship returned in August after it was stripped by head coach Bob Stoops in early June, but remained suspended indefinitely from playing in games. Hayes, who played in eight games last season, was expected to fill a backup role at safety prior to his suspension.
Two of the four originally suspended -- wide receivers Jaz Reynolds and Trey Franks -- are still with the team but remain suspended. The fourth, receiver Kameel Jackson, left for Louisiana-Monroe after he wasn’t given his scholarship back along with the other three due to academic issues.
