Arkansas’ third-leading WR will be back for LSU game

Arkansas’s Brandon Mitchell is still in the middle of a suspension for violating unspecified team rules, but at least now it’s clear when coach John L. Smith plans to allow the quarterback-turned-wide receiver back on to the field.

Specifically, Smith said Thursday that Mitchell will return to action on Nov. 23 against LSU, but still refused to get into specifics regarding the suspension.

“We have a resolution, we have a solution and it’s just one of those things where we discovered there was a problem, checked into the problem and made a decision,” Smith said. “Now we’re correcting the problem. He’s a quality young man that we love and is a valued part of this team.”

Seeing as the Razorbacks won’t to make it to the SEC championship game this year and are teetering on the wrong edge of bowl eligibility with three games remaining against top 25 opponents, the season-finale against the Tigers could very well be the final game of 2012 for the Hogs.

Despite missing two games already because of the suspension, Mitchell is still third on the team with 257 receiving yards.
