Iowa hires new RB coach

And, no, it’s not a knee brace. Or an MRI result. Or a police report. So stop with the jokes, please and thank you.

Instead, Iowa’s new running backs coach and special teams coordinator will Chris White, who joins the Hawkeyes’ coaching staff after spending the past four years in the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings working with special teams.

“I am very excited to have Chris join our staff,” said Kirk Ferentz in a statement. “Chris has considerable special teams, offensive, and recruiting experience from college and professional football to offer our program.”

White’s previous college experience includes stints at Syracuse and UNLV. He replaces Lester Erb on Iowa’s coaching staff, and joins Jim Reid and Bobby Kennedy as first-year Hawkeye assistant coaches.
