Reports: Clint Trickett visiting Auburn

Even as West Virginia and USF remain solid front-runners for his services, Clint Trickett reportedly won’t make a final decision on a future playing destination until he takes at least one other visit.

Both Rivals.com and CBSSports.com‘s Bruce Feldman reported Thursday that the former Florida State quarterback is visiting The Plains today. Trickett announced nearly 10 days ago that he would be transferring from FSU, and the Tigers were one of four teams mentioned as possibilities.

Last weekend, Trickett visited the Mountaineers as WVU conducted its annual spring game. The day after Trickett’s transfer was announced, it was reported that the player would decide between WVU and USF, although it’s unclear if a trip to the Bulls is in the offing.

Trickett’s father, FSU assistant Rick Trickett, stated last week that his son would like to “get to his new campus as soon as possible to ease the transition to a new program.”

In addition to the three schools already mentioned, Trickett has been connected to Michigan as well.
