Ex-FIU D-lineman transfers to Ole Miss

Ole Miss pulled in one of the best recruiting classes in the country this past February. But Rebels coach Hugh Freeze isn’t done yet.

The university announced in a release that FIU transfer Fadol Brown has signed a grant-in-aid and will be eligible to compete beginning in 2014. He’ll have three years of eligibility remaining.

Fadol, who transferred from the Golden Panthers after Mario Cristobal was fired, registered eight tackles and 1.5 sacks in 10 games last season as a freshman. Brown initially transferred to Itawamba Community College, but began receiving interest and offers from multiple SEC programs.

Additionally, Freeze announced that reserve quarterback Maikhail Miller has elected to transfer. Miller appeared briefly in 2012, but did not record any passing stats.
