Pac-12, Las Vegas Bowl agree to six-year extension

The Pac-12 and Las Vegas Bowl became the latest conference and bowl to agree to a new extension past the 2013 season.

In a release, the two sides announced they will partner from 2014 through at least 2019. An opponent for the Pac-12 has yet to be officially announced.

“We are pleased to extend the Pac-12′s agreement with the Las Vegas Bowl and continue our strong partnership that began in 2001,” said Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott. “The game has proven to be a great destination for our fans as well as a top draw on television, and we look forward to providing positive experiences for our teams and our student-athletes for many years to come.”

The game has traditionally featured a Pac-12 team and a top selection from the Mountain West Conference. Last year, Boise State defeated Washington 28-26.
