Wyoming won’t have starting corner vs. Idaho

(Writer’s note: you want non-Manziel? You got non-Manziel.)

After nearly knocking off Nebraska in the season opener, Wyoming will be down a defensive starter for Game 2 of the 2013 season.

In an injury report released Friday, the Cowboys announced that starting cornerback Tyran Finley will not play in the Idaho game due to injury. Finley is believed to have suffered an injury to his right leg during last Saturday’s loss to the Cornhuskers.

The release stated that the projected starter in Finley’s place will likely be true freshman Tim Hayes.

Finley, a JUCO transfer, was making his first career start for the Cowboys last weekend. He was credited with five tackles in the opener, as well as returning one kickoff for 18 yards.
