Gurley out against LSU after turning an ankle

The Georgia - LSU game is turning into a shootout, but the Bulldogs might have to finish up without star tailback Todd Gurley.

Gurley turned an ankle at the tail end of a 23-yard run in the second quarter. Gurley looked gimpy as he went to the locker room and there was no word on when he would return.

The sophomore tailback was on his way to a huge game, with 73 yards on eight carries. Fellow sophomore Keith Marshall came on in relief of Gurley and was also effective, rushing for 59 yards on six carries as Georgia went up, 17-14.

Georgia is lucky to have such a good backup in Marshall, but the Bulldogs will miss deploying Gurley’s physical running style against LSU’s tough front seven.
