Naim Mustafaa leaving the ‘Canes, too

After leaving Oklahoma State in July of this year, Naim Mustafaa landed at Miami two weeks later. Two months later? The defensive lineman is on the move yet again.

A school spokesperson confirmed to the Palm Beach Post that Mustafaa has left the Hurricanes football program. No reason was given for this latest decision to bolt.

Mustafaa was ineligible to play for The U in 2013 as he had to sit out the season in order to satisfy NCAA transfer rules.

After enrolling early at OSU, Mustafaa participated in spring practice this year. Exiting spring, he was listed No. 3 on the depth chart, which had something to do with his initial departure.

Mustafaa was a four-star member of OSU’s most recent class, rated as the No. 18 strongside defensive end by 247Sports.com and the No. 23 player in the state of Georgia. He was the highest-rated defensive member of Cowboys’ 2013 class.
