Jordan Lynch going off against Eastern Michigan in the early going

Don’t forget about Jordan Lynch in the Heisman race.

The Northern Illinois senior quarterback is coming off a 316-yard rushing performance last week against Central Michigan and now he’s taking it to Eastern Michigan in the first half. Lynch, who finished seventh in the Heisman vote last season, could be on his way to another memorable performance.

Lynch threw two touchdown passes, ran for a 30-yard touchdown run and a caught a 17-yard touchdown reception as the Huskies jumped on the Eagles to take a 28-3 lead in the second quarter.

Lynch is eight of 12 for 85 yards passing, to go with 75 rushing yards and the one reception.

If he keeps this up, he may beat his seventh-place finish last season.
