Here’s a very bleak USF stat

South Florida is 2-5 in Willie Taggart’s first season in Tampa, with losses to FCS side McNeese State and Florida Atlantic to their name. The Bulls were dropped, 34-3, by Louisville last weekend, but do have wins over 0-7 UConn and 5-2 Cincinnati.

But, via the Tampa Tribune’s Mike Manganello comes this:

As of right now, 3:28 p.m., it has been one month since USF football scored an offensive touchdown. It’s not the offseason.

Woof.

South Florida quarterbacks have completed 40.4 percent of their passes this year, are averaging 5.05 yards per attempt and have four touchdowns to seven interceptions. A hamstring injury to top running back Marcus Shaw (86 carries, 552 yards, two touchdowns) has only further muted the Bulls’ offense.

From 2006-2010, South Florida won 42 games. That feels like eons ago.
