Indiana RB Tevin Coleman unlikely to play against Wisconsin

Indiana running back Tevin Coleman will likely miss his team’s game at No. 22 Wisconsin on Saturday due to a sprained ankle, Hoosiers coach Kevin Wilson said on Monday.

Coleman, who leads Indiana with 958 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns, hurt his ankle during the Hoosiers’ 52-35 win over Illinois this past weekend.

Before going down, Coleman had 215 yards on just 15 carries (he’s averaging 7.3 yards per carry on the year). It was the most yards by a Hoosier running back in a game since 2001.

Senior Stephen Houston will get most of the carries if Coleman can’t go against the Badgers. Houston is second on the team with 560 yards and he’s also averaging 7.3 yards per carry.
