Oklahoma needed a late first half touchdown just to get to halftime without trailing. Iowa State has thoughts of an upset brewing as they get to half tied at Oklahoma, 10-10.
There was no scoring in the first half but the second half saw the teams trade blows. Iowa State got it started by capping a 14-play drive with a short touchdown run by Sam Richardson. Oklahoma responded with a lengthy and time-consuming 15-play drive but could manage nothing more than a short field goal by Michael Hunnicutt.
Iowa State held the Sooners to just 110 yards of offense in the firs half while nearly doubling that production with 198 yards of offense. Oklahoma quarterbacks Trevor Knight and Blake Bell have combined for 44 passing yards on six completions out of 11 attempts.
Oklahoma needs to rediscover their offense, because Iowa State is a team that simply is not going to go away as anyone who has watched the Cyclones over the years could tell you.
