CSU’s Kapri Bibbs not expected to play vs. Air Force

Colorado State will likely be without one of the nation’s leading rushers as it looks to lock up bowl eligibility this weekend.

Kapri Bibbs suffered what was described as a lower-leg injury in the Rams’ loss to Utah State last Saturday. While head coach Jim McElwain would not specify the injury -- the broadcasters doing the game said it was a toe issue -- he all but slammed the door on the running back’s availability for the Air Force game this Saturday.

Kapri Bibbs is probably out. He won’t practice,” McElwain said according to The Coloradoan.

Bibbs is currently fifth in the country in rushing yards with 1,493 and second in rushing touchdowns with 25. The Rams’ second-leading rusher has totaled 384 and two.
