Lache Seastrunk back on the field for Baylor

Baylor’s explosive offense is closer to full strength against TCU as tailback Lache Seastrunk returned to the lineup on Saturday against the Horned Frogs.

Seastrunk rushed for 869 yards and 11 touchdowns in his first seven outings (while barely playing in the second half of games) but then he injured his groin early in Baylor’s 42-13 victory over Oklahoma in game eight. He missed the next two games as a result. The Bears ground game survived, though, thanks to freshman Shock Linwood, who had back-to-back 180-yard-rushing efforts against Oklahoma and Texas Tech before getting squashed, along with the rest of the Baylor offense, against Oklahoma State.

Seastrunk showed no signs of rust in the early going against the Horned Frogs, rushing for over 60 yards in the first quarter alone. With 888 yards coming into the game, there’s a good chance he’ll have his second-straight 1,000-yard season when this one ends.
